The removal of energy containers will start in July

WHAT IS KYSE?

The contract for the emptying of energy waste bins for household waste will be transferred from a private transporter (Eco-transport) to a municipal one (Ekorosk) from 19.7.2025, in accordance with the waste management regulations.

Ekoroski has been responsible for the biowaste collection contract since 19 July 2023.

WHAT CHANGES?

‍

For customers who have an energy waste container rented from a transporter, Ekorosk will deliver a new energy waste container and the transporter will pick up the rented container.

If the customer has their own container, nothing changes.

WHEN DOES THE CONTAINER CHANGE?

‍

During spring and summer, Ekorosk will distribute the containers to customers, before the changeover of the collection contract, by 18 July 2025.

Eco-transport will pick up the rental containers after the transfer of the emptying contract, from 19.7.2025.

For a while, customers will have both (Ekoroski and Ecotransport) containers in their yard. Customers are asked for their understanding and patience during this anomaly. There are thousands of containers to be collected, so it will take about 2 months to collect them. The collection will be carried out on a regional, centralised basis.

DO I NEED TO DO SOMETHING?

‍

No need to do anything.

Any container replacement will be done automatically by Ecotransport and Ekoroski.

The customer does not need to contact Ecotransport for the collection of the container. Ecotransport cannot give an exact time for the collection of the container.

If the customer is left without an energy container, the customer should contact Ekorosk Customer Service and Ekorosk will deliver a new container.

If the Ecokuljetus container has not been collected by 30.9.2025, the customer is requested to contact the Ecokuljetus customer service by e-mail at info(at)ekokuljetus.fi.

After 19 July 2025, customers can help and speed up collection by moving the EcoTransport rental container to the side of the waste point, in a visible place where it is easy to pick up.

WHICH ENERGY WASTE BIN DO I USE?

If the customer has a temporary energy waste container from both Ekokuljetis and Ekoroski in their yard, the customer must use the containers as follows:

Eco-transport containers until 18.7.2025

Ekoroski containers from 19.7.2025

WHO DO I CONTACT IN THE FUTURE ABOUT BIO-WASTE AND ENERGY WASTE CONTAINERS?

‍

In the future, customers will contact Ekoroski' s customer service for household waste (bio-waste and energy waste).

The customer has a drainage contract with Ekoroski from 19.7.2025.
